okay have to start with the story of the day! we went to get lunch at this taco stand nearby, that a teacher had taken people to the other day. so it was mary, me, thalia, pinky, george, marta, and leo. they order tacos and what not and there was this man in a suit that was acting really nice and he was telling us to sit down and getting us napkins and salsa and everything and when it came time to pay he was asking how many tacos we had and each person gave him some money and no one had exact change so he was like okay ill be right back with your change....then he left!!! we thought he was just going to get change though so we were waiting around forever like okay need to be in class right now.... when finally pinky asked the woman when our change would be here. she was like what are you talking about?? he said he was your guys teacher from cepe.... we were like uhhh no we thought he was an employee. so regardless, he stole everyones money and everyone had to pay again. i didnt lose any money though cause i didnt get anything cause they only had carne tacos, so thank god for being picky i guess!!!
otherwise, yesterday was lazy again. the weather is so crappy it rained all day and night so we never ended up finding the laundromat, although some other girls went to one and had so many problems. i guess the dryers have flames on the bottom so anything thin will burn... scary! and they got in trouble for overloading the washer supposedly??? i dunno.....
elba and herons grandkids were over yesterday, well 2 of them, so we just kinda hung out with them and took a nap and stuff. did homework. we had this really weird soup and chicken salad on crispy tortillas for lunch. not my favorite but it was edible.
elba y heron told us that as long as we get back before 6 in the morning they dont here us. they said they are hard sleepers and after 1030 at night they are out until 6...sooo so far we are yet to be heard. we asked cause they have so many locks on their door we have to open and we always have problems, especially at 3 in the morning!! but its all good. we keep saying......they have had students in their house for 20 years now.... we are probably not the worst they have had!!! yesterday we were asking elba about how she met heron and where their first date was and everything, it was really cute! their first date was in a tree because they had to go in secret. and their first kiss was a year later and elba was really embarrassed cause she thought kissing made you pregnant. heron was a construction worker...so we were like un momento un momento, heron is just like the construction workers next door that always whistle and yell to us?!?!?! and she started laughing and said yup.....!
anyways, on a closing note, im in mexico in june wearing jeans, tank top, tshirt, and sweatshirt and STILL cold!!! what the heck???
three more things:
i really really really really really miss having a cell phone that works and being able to text.
i just got an email saying profesor heise from mnsu is coming to visit june 26-28..exciting
after final exams on friday i will have more classes for the other five weeks, it will be one language\grammar class and one culture class...from 8 to 10 and 10 to 12. it will be nice to be done at noon instead of 130 like now!

Watch out for nice guys in suits - they will get you every time! Stick to the "normal" ones. Just kidding, but glad that lesson was costly but not harmful. Sorry about the rain, but it is the same here. Love your comments Keegan - keep them coming!!! Stay dry and take care.
